Our story, and how it all started
We started back in 2014, moved by a tragedy on a platinum mine in South Africa called Marikana. We then hit the ground running with our first client - a multinational fishing company. This involved face to face engagement with workers. These workers helped us develop our method for building trust, and our metrics for how we measured a decent working life. It was during this first engagement that we started to prepare for going digital. We tried an app, then an external tech provider, and finally, with many lessons learnt, we developed our own online platform and brought our technology in-house. Our tech and implementation support teams sit in a sunny office in Cape Town. Our client accounts team and operations sit on the Herengracht canal in Amsterdam, and we now also have a presence across Europe and North America.

To increase visibility and improve working conditions along global supply chains. We do this by listening directly to workers and using their feedback to drive improvements.
