Emma has always known that she wanted a career closely tied to improving the lives of human beings around the world. When she found &Wider 3 years ago, she was struck by how little she knew about the extent of the human rights violations in our supply chains and was moved by &Wider’s tangible impactful work. She knew that she could make a real lasting impact while working here.
As Implementation Lead, she works closely with our network of stakeholders to support implementing Direct Worker Engagement in workplaces around the world and ensures that suppliers and clients are well supported throughout the process. Her 6 years of Operations experience at Nike allow her to confidently oversee the implementation processes involved in ensuring all projects are executed successfully. She is a passionate generalist who loves solving problems, and creating order in chaos. Implementation sits at the intersection between account management and project management and ultimately ensures that our projects run smoothly, and data is gathered effectively.
With her experience implementing multi-stakeholder projects, she knows how to build strong collaborative relationships which she uses when engaging with suppliers, partners and clients. She enjoys finding ways to create more efficient processes, managing people, and managing complex projects.
Emma is Swedish, though born and raised in the Netherlands, and lives in Utrecht with her fiancé. She studied sociology and anthropology. She loves to cook and has a recipe book in which she writes down restaurant-style dishes which she then tests out on her guinea pig friends and family. Her happy place is the Stockholm archipelago where her grandma has a summer house. A place where she enjoys truly disconnecting from devices while reading, foraging, swimming and relaxing in the truest sense.
