Emily is motivated by making a positive impact. Throughout her career, Emily has been driven by the desire to contribute meaningfully to the world. This guiding principle has shaped her working life.

Emily began her journey at &Wider by building the Implementation function, where she worked closely with producers and suppliers to foster a willingness to engage in Direct Worker Engagement programs. Her focus has evolved, and now, as a key part of the team, she oversees client relationships, offering both support and strategic guidance. Whether working with clients, suppliers, procurement professionals, or auditors, Emily thrives on understanding their needs to help enhance the work already underway to create healthier supply chains and better working conditions.

Before joining &Wider, Emily founded Lumkani, a tech-powered impact start-up focused on preventing the devastating effects of fires in informal communities. Lumkani developed cutting-edge hardware and software, including a world-first short-term insurance product for people living in informal housing. Emily led stakeholder engagement and user-centric design, an experience that fuels her continued passion for product development in her current role at &Wider.

When she’s not working, Emily loves being in nature. Whether exploring the forests of Finland, the oceans of South Africa. She finds peace and inspiration in the natural world. A day spent in the mountains is a day well spent.
